The issue we need to pay attention to when using the optical module

Optical port
The loss attenuation everywhere on the optical link is related to the transmission performance, so it is required to: 
A. Select fiber optic transceiver that meet network access standards;

B. The optical fiber transceiver must have a cap, and cover the cap when not in use to avoid the contamination of the optical fiber transceiver and the secondary contamination of the optical port of the optical module. When not in use, cover the cap and store in a dust-proof and clean place;

C. The optical fiber transceiver needs to be inserted horizontally with the optical port to avoid scratches on the end face and sleeve.

D. Avoid prolonged exposure to the optical port of the optical module, and cover the optical port with a cup when not in use; store the optical module in a dust-proof and clean place when not in use;

Lighting issue
Excessive optical power will burn out the optical module. The optical module above 10 kms should be avoided to be directly connected, and a certain attenuation should be added to the link.

Cooling issue
When the temperature of the optical module rises, be sure to pay attention to heat dissipation, and try to keep the temperature of the optical module below 60°C.
